After the Lockdown
Joseph and Susan Kemp desperately need jobs. So do Bob and Carol Arnold. But since the Western Economy has been ravaged by the Great Virus and subsequent Lockdowns, opportunities are now few and far between. What’s more, recruitment ethics and employment laws have been repealed or are widely ignored.
The post-Lockdown world takes us back to an era when bosses and owners, the old and the wealthy enjoy all the power. While the unfortunate and unemployed, the powerless and the young have few options but to submit.
Part-satire, part-thriller and all-action, ‘After the Lockdown’ is a dystopian story of strife between the haves and the have-nots that is not for the faint-hearted reader. It is set within the Velvet Corporation and details six weeks of action in the daily lives of members of senior management and those fortunate, or unfortunate, enough to toil under them. Females, males and couples suffer almost every kind of humiliation, discipline and sexploitation.

“An Iron Fist inside a Velvet Glove” is an idiom attributed to Napoleon, who coined it to describe the most effective way to treat citizens; appear unassuming and even gentle on the surface but be prepared to use brutal force where necessary.
Velvetglove is truly a gentle soul but with a hidden side that is expressed in BDSM fiction. She has been writing erotica since 2005 but only recently began making stories available commercially. As a writer she identifies as a switch-bitch; ie. as both dominant and submissive, female and male, romantic and merciless.
Stories range from dark and psychologically cruel novels (‘Velvetglove’) to female-dominant / male-submissive unconventional romances (‘Velma Glover’) to twist-in-the-tale short stories, aimed at female-submissive readers in particular ('VG’).
In real life, she's an ordinary chap with a family, a dog and a mortgage.
