Beyond II falls short of the typical DrkfetyshN story by trying to
cram too many scenerios and personalities into a two-part story.
Beyond II feels like a rush job. The usual slow, detailed pace that
make earlier works so successful is not there. The Charlene capture
and transformation should have occupied an entire part, like part III.
Part IV should have gone into detail on the downfall of Rosie and the
Man With No Name. I felt cheated on both Beyond 1 and 2 due to this

long torture exposition and little about Meghan the victim of this
story. However there is some interesting parts about Laura the rich
sadist who is the mover in this tale. It would have been better if
DKFN had developed Meghans parents involvement in her subjugation

I love to meet and get acquainted with DFN's characters. They often
carry issues and they have often managed to, superficially at least,
have seemingly overcome them to become stronger and more confident. In
this story, I really enjoyed the descriptions of the daughter/mother
relationship and the "hidden faults" ripe to be seized on by somebody
with evil intentions.
The story is well constructed and the plot is interesting. The fetish
side is, as always, very perverse and spicy. Shame that we don't get
to see everything the mother is also going to have to cope with....

The author at the height of her powers....dark, devilish and

namely: The Cottage, Disturbia and Devastation among a few others. I
think that in her later books are merely repetitions of the same theme
without the present tense microdetail that make her work stand out way
in front of other authors aspiring to make it in the fetish bdsm
genre. Advice would be to write less and work with Matt Williams and
Maitresse Madeline on their sites or start a new one in her genre. 3

As an avid fan, for the first half of the book I was preparing to
salute the author's continuing progress toward becoming the "H.P.
Lovecraft of Darkest Erotica". Then, sadly, an unnecessary 180-degree
plot twist was introduced, likely intended to be a brash authorial
flourish, which, instead, turned out to be a terrible pratfall. Surely
there are often times when (1) plot twists and turns become memorable,
not regrettable and (2) such abrupt departures are deliciously
over-the-top and not just off-the-wall! Alas, this is definitely not

This 6 parts story reads a bit like a perverse manga. There are echoes
of "The Famous 5" (for those mature enough to remember), Twilight,
Harry Potter, Chucky....The fantasy set up gives room for
extraordinary transformations which do not require any explanation,
which is fine in this context.
The other side of the coin is that the characters and the plot seem
more distant and the hair raising observation "It could happen to me!"
is not relevant in this series.
Took me some time to get into it but once on board, I really enjoyed
